My Story
I started writing at 13. That's 24 years ago. I started with short stories and then wrote some plays that were performed. I eventually moved onto poetry in my late teen years into my early 20s. I took a break from writing for over a decade. Now into my late 30s I've written my first novel; a semi-fictional memoir. It is currently in the process of being published. It will be released in late fall. It is titled The Breaking of Rainbow: A Fictional Memoir. Thank you for being here.

The Breaking of Rainbow: A Fictional Memoir
Late Fall 2020
My memoir is a testiment to mostly traumatic and chaotic life that has been my adulthood. It spans 20 years and touches on some difficult subjects. It's about sexual abuse, sexual assault, domestic violence and abuse, emotional abuse, addiction and recovery, mental health issues, hosptilizations, self harm, suicidal ideations, suicide, emotionally abusive same sex marriage, LGBTQ+ issues, betrayal, unexpected motherhood, love, and loss. When I wrote this book I had to take breaks at times because it became too intense. I wrote my memoir in a month's time. It is currently in the process of being pubished. It is currently in the editing phase. I will post more as the process progresses.

My book's blurb:

Rainbow's life was forever changed starting when she was 4. Years later at 17 she experiences a traumatic heartbreak that would be the catalyst for life altering decisions. Time and time again Rainbow finds herself in situations that could cost her her life. She survives them only to be collecting mental health disorders that affect her life in every way. Set against the backdrop of Minnesota and Colorado, Rainbow lives her life without giving much thought to the consequences. She moves in the direction of her heart. She couldn't have known that she'd be used, abused, manipulated, and thrown away repeatedly. She desperately pleads with the Universe for a better life, but is constantly denied. Rainbow starts giving up hope and let's go of any dreams and aspirations that she had. One day she finally takes a chance on herself after writing vigorously over the course of a month. Things rapidly take off. Has she finally found the redemption she has desperately longed for for 20 years? Check out The Breaking of Rainbow: A Fictional Memoir and find out if you can see yourself in her eyes.

You own everything that happened to you. Tell your stories. If people wanted you to write warmly about them, they should have behaved better.
